Daniel Jeffries is a Futurist, Author, and Thinker, whose perspective on blockchain and decentralized systems has been recognized by numerous leaders in the industry. Also, it’s important to note that he’s not your typical ‘silicon valley futurist’. He’s a serious programmer, with a good eye for what’s on the tech horizon, and a critical view of emerging technologies like blockchain and cryptocurrency.
One of the reasons I think everyone should listen to Daniel is because he does a great job talking about the technology, and I share his perspective that current iterations are just the beginning of future decentralized paradigms. With all the hype surrounding Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain, it can be hard for people without technical knowledge to filter out the B.S. Daniel isn’t afraid to share his thoughts on the limits of decentralized systems, and it’s because of his restraint that I think he’s gaining popularity.
If you're wondering why decentralized systems matter and where they are headed, or if you’ve ever asked “Will Bitcoin even exist in a few years?” this is an interview you don't want to miss.
Be sure to check out his work on his medium and his piece titled “Bitcoin in 20 Years”.
What you will learn in this episode:
- What the future of blockchain holds and what you need to know.
- How you can sift through all the B.S. and know what blockchain projects are worth paying attention to.
- Why decentralization is important and how blockchain makes it possible.
