With Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies driving a multi-hundred billion dollar craze, many speculators have been left feeling some regret for having sold, or perhaps never bought into the skyrocketing networks. The question is, does widely known Tesla, Neuralink, and SpaceX founder Elon Musk feel the same way?
A rumor began circulating in 2017 which cited that Musk was likely to be Satoshi Nakamoto. Musk took to Twitter quickly in an effort to debunk the allegations, stating the following:
Not true. A friend sent me part of a BTC a few years, but I don’t know where it is.

Musk is estimated to be worth roughly $21.4 billion based on information from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. However, only around $2,500 of that worth is in cryptocurrency, based on a price estimation of $10,000 per BTC, near the market value as of this article’s writing.
The statement in a tweet above from Musk alludes to his having lost the private key to the wallet which contains the BTC, meaning he cannot access it even if he wanted to. Musk seems completely unphased by not having taken part in the Bitcoin Ecosystem, despite others’ woes over the same topic. After all, one can imagine that money is the last of his concerns when SpaceX sent aTeslaa into space.
Musk has even jokingly addressed the use of buzzwords following the sell-out of The Boring Company hats.
But wait, there’s more: the flamethrower is sentient, its safe word is “cryptocurrency” and it comes with a free blockchain

Because who doesn’t love sentient flamethrowers that come with a free blockchain? Elon sure does, and so do his followers.
Musk tweeted in response to the growing number of crypto-related scams floating around on social media at the moment,
Not sure. I let @jack know, but it’s still going. I literally own zero cryptocurrency, apart from .25 BTC that a friend sent me many years ago.

Despite the lighthearted responses provided by Musk, many individuals in the crypto-space have had negative experiences with scams or a feeling of regret for not participating in the space or selling out of the space too soon.
