Through one on one interviews, we'll speak directly with industry leaders to cut beyond the hype and get directly to the heart of practical use cases and examples of how it will change the world, one industry at a time.
The following is an interview we recently had with Chrissa McFarlane, CEO of Patientory.
1. What’s the history of Patientory? How and where did you begin?
CM: I grew up in New York City with the desire to become a Surgeon. I attended business school and completed a semester of medical school but later became more intrigued by the business side. Instead of becoming a funnel just to treat patients, I had more interest in becoming a part of the solution and not the problem. I wanted to provide a solution to help impact their day-to-day routine and assist others in making healthy decisions.
A Cornell alum reached out, they’d just raised $6 million, and it was the first time that I worked with a digital healthcare start-up. My biggest challenge was gaining access to patient data.
